Lady en Rouge was basically constructed to justify an evening gown as a costume. Her creator was playing with ideas in the costume creator, and noticed that one could get a pretty decent evening gown look with a pencil dress and any of the shoulderless "with skin" options, so what sort of character might wear that into combat? The sort that didn't have to physically involve herself in the fight. Thus, the Lady in Red was born.

In-Game Desc

(under development)

Lady is loosely affiliated with the villian group Riot Gear (on Virtue shard), primarily because the idea of it piqued her curiosity. She has friends in high places among the Family and Crey, and although she has no ties to Arachnos, she frequently makes their agents -believe- she does in order to get things she wants.

Lady has the power to shape and alter people's thoughts and perception of the world, and as such, takes a certain sort of "button pusher" attitude towards the world. Where most well-adjusted people see friends, lovers, and enemies, Lady sees pets and toys. She treats "pets" with a certain dignity and (albeit condecending) affection, while toys are simply objects to be used or discarded according to her mood. This lends to a certain detachment, as well as a sharp rush of lording her ability over her presumed "inferiors".

Lady has the ability to control minds, directly and indirectly. Although she has the capacity for brute force control, she prefers gentler, more subtle methods, using a person's own psychology to guide them into doing her bidding. Finding repressed feelings and urges, bringing them bubbling to the front and displaying them to the person's own conciousness.

In addition to her psychic abilities, Lady has come into posession of the girdle of aphrodite, an enchanted garment that significantly enhances her already not inconsiderable attractiveness. Coupled with her mental prowess, few would argue that she could be resisted.

Weaknesses and Limitations

She is relatively fragile, physically, and in a straight up battle with many psychics, she would come up short, which is part of why she prefers, as a rule, the subtle approach.

Character History

Hardly anything is known about Lady before she arrived in the Rogue Isles. Her oldest affiliates typically refer to her as "J", but whether this is a refference to her first or last name, or if it is some obscure nickname is unclear. After becoming a known villianess in Recluse's domain, and artificially adding herself to the "Destined one" program, she has picked up a handful of followers with her psychic abilities and sensual demeanor.

Most notably, a few months after her arrival, while hobnobbing at a party in the Pocket D, she met, seduced, and recruited a young hero fangirl named "Indigo" or "Indy". The name, however, is an alias, chosen by Indy to disguise the fact that she was not actually an invitee of the party. Indy was a superhero fangirl of sorts, but quickly fell under Lady's hipnotic sway, and has become the woman's favorite pet in the time since.

Other Notes

Lady is rampantly bisexual and hedonistic, but generally, her player prefers to keep mature material "off camera". She takes particular pleasure from seducing people that would normally be considered positive role models. Turning heroes to villians, or saints to sluts is one of her hobbies, of sorts.

  • Lady is an homage to both the song "Lady in Red", and the character Jessica Rabbit from the film "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?".
  • One of Lady's pets is an ex longbow agent named Cindy.
